Monday 3 September is the day before the RSS conference kicks off. Time, if David Lodge is anything to go by, to get off the train having forgotten your suitcase, get lost, get on the wrong side of someone extremely important, get drunk, get mistaken for the keynote speaker at 8am the next morning, and get bundled on stage with nothing but your flawed memory of Mendenhall and Beaver to help you out.
Or you could go to some courses and learn some cool stuff. There seems to be a lot on, including multiple imputation in R from the people who developed the -mice- package! I’ll be sorry to miss them but I have to take the in-laws to the Proms, and I can’t multiply impute myself into their good books.
